Parent-Teacher Meet (Year 7 – Year 10)
Our Parent-Teacher Meet held on 10 April 2026 (Friday) was successfully carried out in a positive and engaging atmosphere across our classrooms.
It was truly encouraging to see many parents present, taking the time to meet with our teachers and have meaningful discussions regarding their child’s academic report, progress, and classroom performance. These interactions allowed for better understanding, clearer communication, and stronger collaboration between home and school.

Strengthening Partnerships for Student Success
On 9 April 2026, our Year 11 Parent-Teacher Meet was successfully held at Shin Yang Hall, bringing together parents and teachers for meaningful discussions on students’ progress following the 1st Mock Exam.
The session also highlighted each student’s PACT (Personal Academic Commitment Target), while engaging in focused discussions on their IGCSE target setting, ensuring clear goals and direction for the upcoming examinations.
It was a valuable platform to celebrate achievements, address areas for improvement, and strengthen collaboration between school and home in supporting every student’s journey.

A Heartwarming End Before the ''Hari Raya Aidilfitri”—Happy Eid al-Fitr Holiday
Before the Hari Raya Aidilfitri (Idul Fitri) holiday, our RHISS family came together for a meaningful activity. Students joined their homeroom and assistant homeroom teachers to clean their classrooms, showing teamwork, responsibility, and care for their learning spaces.
The day continued at the canteen with the distribution of buah kurma, symbolising gratitude, sharing, and togetherness. The joyful moments captured the true spirit of unity in our school community.

A Day to Relax, Recharge & Smile!
After weeks of hard work and dedication for their mock examinations, our Year 11 students finally enjoyed a well-deserved break during the Year 11 Mental Wellness Day held at Shin Yang Hall on 16 March 2026. It was a joyful and refreshing day filled with laughter, relaxation, and meaningful moments together.
Students had a wonderful time enjoying movie sessions, relaxing activities, group chats, and reflection moments. The highlight of the day was the gratitude activity, where students shared heartfelt appreciation messages with their friends, teachers, and parents.
A huge and heartfelt thank you to the Counselling Unit of Riam Hill International Secondary School for organizing such a thoughtful and uplifting event for our students. Your care and dedication to students’ well-being truly made this day special!

Teachers’ CPD Training
On 4 March 2026, the teachers of Riam Hill International Secondary School attended a CPD Training session held at the Lecture Theatre.The session was conducted by Mdm. Lau Gaik Yean on the topic of Cooperative Learning Techniques.
The training provided valuable insights and practical approaches to enhance collaborative learning and encourage active student participation in the classroom. Lantern Festival 2026 – A Joyful Celebration!
Our Lantern Festival 2026, which was held at Shin Yang Hall on 27 February 2026, was a truly vibrant and heartwarming celebration.
Teachers and students came together to solve games side by side, sharing laughter and creating beautiful memories. The students enjoyed every activity and participated enthusiastically at all the game stations.
Adding to the festive cheer, our energetic school boy dancers surprised everyone with angpao giveaways — yes, angpao from our very own dancers!
It was a meaningful celebration of culture, unity, and togetherness.

Rising Leaders: Prefect Leadership Training 2026
On 31 January 2026, our future leaders stepped out of the classroom and into a space of growth, teamwork, and self-discovery at Beach Republic. Surrounded by fresh air, open space, and positive energy, our prefects were given the opportunity to reflect on what it truly means to lead, serve, and inspire others.
Throughout the day, students took part in engaging activities and challenges designed to build confidence, strengthen communication, and encourage collaboration. More than just learning how to lead, they learned the importance of listening, supporting one another, and standing strong in their values even when faced with challenges.

Our campus was filled with smiles, excitement, and positive energy as we warmly welcomed our new students and parents during the 2026 New Student & Parent Orientation on Friday, 9 January 2026.
The morning began with a heartfelt welcome from our Principal, followed by introductions to our wonderful teachers and administration team, an overview of our school values, rules and expectations, and insights into the Cambridge curriculum and assessment.
Students and parents also had the opportunity to learn about our school timetable, ECA programmes, meet our student prefects, join in the school song, and explore the campus during the school tour. These meaningful moments helped set the tone for a year built on learning, friendship, and growth.

The final day of our staff training focused on strengthening a positive and well-structured school culture. The day began with a Discipline & ECA session, setting clear expectations to support student development both inside and beyond the classroom. This was followed by our First Staff Meeting for 2026, providing a platform for alignment, goal-setting, and collaborative planning for the year ahead.
Each session reflected our shared commitment to unity, professionalism, and excellence in teaching and learning. A meaningful and purposeful conclusion to our training week, made possible by the dedication and cooperation of our staff as we move forward together into the new academic year.

Day three of our staff training continued with focused sessions aimed at strengthening classroom practices and academic readiness. The day began with Classroom Management and Classroom Control sessions, equipping teachers with effective strategies to create positive and well-managed learning environments.
This was followed by a Cambridge Exam Invigilation briefing, ensuring clarity, consistency, and adherence to examination standards. The day concluded with an Academic and Classroom Orientation & New School Year Assembly briefing, aligning expectations and preparations for a smooth and successful start to the academic year.
Another productive day made possible by the dedication and collaboration of our teaching team. Together, we are building a strong foundation for a successful year ahead.

Day two of our staff training was filled with meaningful discussions, skill-building, and collaboration. The day began with an Exam Paper Setting Workshop, ensuring quality assessment practices, followed by a hands-on session on Google Calendar & Spaces to strengthen our digital organisation and communication.
The momentum continued with a Management Meeting and Departmental Meeting, providing valuable opportunities for alignment, planning, and teamwork across departments. Each session reflected our shared commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in teaching and learning.
